04/7/2008 - RESULTS ARE POSTED; THANK YOUS!
Results have been posted. All teams on the 12-Hour course that were able to
make it to CP1 were ranked higher than all teams that were short coursed on the paddle.
We apologize for the delay in posting the results. We spent the majority of last week trying to find canoes in Clinton Lake and on the
Kansas River.
We would like to thank everyone that came out and participated in the race! We hope you had a great time and enjoyed the adventure!
We would also like to extend a HUGE "thank you" to all of the volunteers that came and helped with the race. The race would not have been
possible without your help. We would also like to thank the following organizations for their timely response to the mishap on Clinton Lake
on Saturday morning:
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks
Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical
Kanwaka Fire Department
Douglas County Sheriffs Office
We would like to thank everyone that took part in the rescues on Clinton Lake, and we apologize if we missed you and or your organization.
We hope you enjoyed the 2nd running of the Sunflower 12/24-Hour, and we hope to see you at
The Dirty Duo!

03/25/2008 - LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT RACE THIS WEEKEND!
We are very excited for everyone to make it into Lawrence this weekend and take on the Sunflower 12 & 24-Hour courses! We have a fantastic
turnout for the 12-Hour course and some top teams coming to the 24-Hour course, and both courses are going to be a blast!
The 12-Hour course is right at 50 miles long at the 24-Hour course is about 98 miles. Both courses will be rappelling off of a 10 story
building in Lawrence (3 stories higher than last year!) and the 24-Hour racers will also be tackling a Tyrolean traverse and rope bridge.
All 24-Hour racers should remember that they will be canoeing with their bikes and should plan on brining a tie down system.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Econo Lodge on Friday! Remember, if you need some last minute gear for the race, you can
stop by Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop on Massachussetts Street. They have all the gear you need for the race (and more). It's a fantastic
outdoor store and worth a look around even if you have all of your gear. Please drive safely into town, and come ready to have a great
time!

All 24-Hour racers should come prepared to canoe with your bikes during the race. Please make sure that you have a tie down system of some
sort in place before you get to the race (rope, bungy cords, etc.)
We feel like we have two great courses planned out , and we are looking forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks!
