07/22/2008 - RESULTS POSTED; THANK YOUS!

First of all, congratulations to everyone that attempted the Dusk 2 Dawn adventure race this past weekend! We hope you had a great time and a heck of an adventure! A very special congratulations goes out to all the first time racers that attempted a night race as your first adventure race, and even more so if you crossed the finish line!

Congratulations to Jeff Sona, Carrie Sona, David Frei and Doug Nishimura of the team Alpine Shop, and to the solo racer Phil Nicolas for crossing the finish line together in 7 hours and 20 minutes to take home the first place prize! A job very well done to all of you. Also, a very big congratulations to Ryan & Sarah Stalder, a 2-Person Co-ed team, for coming in 3rd place overall in a time of 8 hours and 37 minutes (which included a bushwhack to CP19)! The Overall Results have been posted. Split times will be posted within the next couple of days. Also, some photos taken by Noelle Amick can be viewed here.

07/15/2008 - CELL PHONES & TICKS

There is a new piece of gear added to the required gear list. Please make sure that your team has a fully charged cell phone in a waterproof container with you at all times during the race! Please make sure that the container you are carrying your cell phone in is completely waterproof and that the phone is fully charged at the start of the race! Thank you.

Also, the ticks have been out in full force at Perry Lake this summer. Please plan on brining some insect / tick repellent AND USING IT during the race! Deet is highly recommended. The ticks are fierce this year. You've been warned.

We have a very fun course set up for the Dusk 2 Dawn this year, and they have recently removed the rain from the forecast! Currently, we're looking a possiblity of about 73 degrees while you're racing!! You can't beat that in July. We're looking forward to seeing you this weekend, and please drive safely.
