Location: Race headquarters will be located at Perry State Park, about 20 minutes from Lawrence, Kansas. Race H.Q. will be located in the Turkey Run campground area
of the park. Perry State Park offers racers excellent mountain biking, lake paddling, and miles of hiking and running trails.
Dates and Times: The Lake Perry Dusk 2 Dawn will start at 9PM on Saturday, July 19th and most teams should be
finished by 9AM on Sunday, July 20th. The pre-race meeting and racer check-in will take place at Race H.Q., the Turkey Run campground
area of the park. Racer check-in will start at 3PM and end at 7PM on Saturday, July 19th. There will be a mandatory gear check of all
the required gear for all racers when they check-in. The pre-race meeting will start at 7:30PM sharp, which is mandatory for all racers.
This is when racers will be given their maps and checkpoint information. The race will start at 9PM.
The Course: The course will consist of mountain biking 20-35 miles, trekking/running 5-15 miles, paddling 5-10
miles, all while using a map and compass.
Divisions: The race is open to solos (must be pre-approved by Bonk Hard Racing by submitting an adventure racing resume and
all solos must provide their own boats during the race), 2-person and 4-person teams (co-ed, male and female)
Cost: The registration fee includes park use fees, maps, t-shirts, insurance, boats, prizes, a fantastic post-race
breakfast and drinks and one great adventure in the cool of the summer night!

* All certificates for free entry are for the individual racer and not the entire team.
* In the tradition of adventure racing, the 4-Person Co-ed division will be the Elite Division in the race. Only 4-Person Co-ed teams
are eligible for discounted entry certificates. The winners of all other divisions will get their choice of prizes.
Awards Ceremony: There will be an awards ceremony at 9AM on Sunday after the race. Prizes will be awarded to the winning
teams in all divisions, and there will also be food and drinks available to all racers. Please let us know on the registration form if you
will be attending the awards ceremony so we can have an accurate count for food and beverages.
Cancellation:
$30 fee per person if before July 1st
No refunds after July 1st!
Lodging: If you would like to stay at the park over the weekend, basic camping is available for all racers, with showers,
electricity and water, in certain campgrounds. The park can also accomodate RVs and campers. If you would like to stay at Lake Perry State Park,
you will need to call the State Park at (785)246-3449 to make a reservation.
There are hotels in and around Lawrence if you are
interested in staying at a hotel.
Check in: Racer check-in will be at the Turkey Run campground area of the State Park. Racer check-in will start at
3PM on Saturday, July 19th and end at 7PM. All racers will need to bring ALL of their mandatory individual and team gear when they check in.
Support Crew: The Lake Perry Dusk 2 Dawn will not require a support crew, and support crews are not allowed.
Volunteers: Volunteering is an excellent way to get the feel and experience of an adventure race if you are unsure if you would like to participate.
Also, adventure racing would not be possible without the help of volunteers! All volunteers in the Lake Perry Dusk 2 Dawn will receive a 50% off
of any Bonk Hard Racing event certificate, free race shirts and food after the race!
We encourage family and friends of racers to come along and join in the fun as a volunteer. There will be a pre-race volunteer meeting at
