Location: Race headquarters will be located in the Town Square & Marketplace at The Wyman Center.
Dates and Times: The Castlewood 8-Hour will start at 7AM on Saturday, December 3rd. All teams should be
finished by 5:00PM. Racer check-in will take place on Friday, December 2nd at the
Alpine Shop in Kirkwood from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. All racers are REQUIRED to check in on Friday evening at Alpine Shop. Race related
materials will be given out at racer check-in (or on Saturday morning before the race). There will be no pre-race meeting on Friday night.
After 9:00PM racer registration will be closed, and you will no longer have a chance to check-in and receive your race materials. If you cannot make
it to check-in by 9:00PM, please contact us as soon as possible!
The Course: The Castlewood 8-Hour course is going to be a very fast and fun course!! It will consist of
mountain biking 10-25 miles, trekking/running 5-10 miles, paddling 4-10 miles, all while using a map and compass to find your way! All racers
will have up to 10 hours to complete the course. The parks in and around the Castlewood State Park area are fantastic for an
8-Hour adventure race!
Divisions: The race is open to 2-person and 4-person teams only (co-ed, male and female).
Entry Fees:
Early Registration (ends at 11:59PM CT on 11/04): $89 per racer
Late Registration (after 11/04): $99 per racer
* Registration closes at 11:59PM CT on Sunday, November 27.

* All certificates for free or discounted entry are for the individual racer and not the entire team.
* Discounted entry certificates will be awarded to the top three teams overall, regardless of division.
* At a minimum, at least the top team in each division will receive prizes. |
Awards Ceremony: There will be an awards ceremony at 5:00PM on Saturday after the race. Prizes will be awarded to the winning
teams, and there will also be food and drinks available for all racers after the race.
Cancellation:
- $20 fee per person if before November 5th
- No refunds after November 5th!
Lodging: All racers are required to find their own lodging.

All of this at a discounted price of $85 (plus taxes) per room! (That is a $24 savings off the normally priced $109 room rate.) Each room can accommodate 1 to 5 people! In addition, The Hampton will extend this rate for up to 3 days prior or post event, should you desire to arrive early or stay late to explore the St. Louis area!

Check in: Racer check-in will be hosted at the
Alpine Shop in Kirkwood, MO, on Friday, December 2nd from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Support Crew: The Castlewood 8-Hour will not require a support crew. No racers are allowed to receive support of
any kind on the course or at the Transition Areas from anyone not participating in the race.
Volunteers: If you would like to volunteer for the Castlewood 8-Hour, please
contact the race directors. Volunteers are an extremely important part of any adventure race, and
could not happen without you! If you are unable to race, or just want to learn more about adventure racing and how it works, volunteering
is one of the best ways to do it. All volunteers will receive a 50% off discounted entry certificate for future Bonk Hard Racing events,
free race shirt (or other give-a-way) and food after the race.
