Location: The Berryman 6/12 Hour Off-Road Duathlon will be Headquartered at the Shelter in the
Berryman Recreation Area, near Potosi, MO, which serves as the start and finish location of the Berryman Trail. There is no water at the Berryman

Directions: From Potosi, MO, take Hwy 8 west for 16 miles; turn north onto County Road 207 and go about 1.5 miles.
The Berryman Recreation Area will be on your left. There will be a sign posted at the Hwy 8 and County Rd. 207 junction to use as a marker to
the Recreation Area.
Dates and Times: The Berryman 12-Hour Off-Road Duathlon will start at 7AM on Saturday, August 23rd and the
6-Hour Off-Road Duathlon will start at 9AM. Racer check-in will take place at the Shelter in the Berryman Recreation Area from 7-9PM on Friday,
August 22nd and again from 5:30AM - 6:30AM (for 12-Hour Duathlon participants) and 7:30AM - 8:30AM (for 6-Hour Duathlon participants) the day
of the race. The 6-Hour Duathlon will run from 9AM - 3PM and the 12-Hour Duathlon will run from 7AM - 7PM. All racers will try to complete as many running and biking
laps as possible in this time frame.
The Course: The two duathlon courses will share the same running and biking loops, and both will utilize the
fantastic Berryman Trail, as well as some surrounding jeep and gravel roads. Racers can expect a 4.5 mile running course that will
consist of about 2.5 miles of singletrack trail, .5 miles of jeep trails and 1.5 miles of gravel roads. The mountain biking leg will be about
12.5 miles in length and will consist of about 8 miles of singletrack on the Berryman Trail, 1 mile on jeep trails and 3.5 miles on gravel roads.
Each time a racer completes a running and biking loop, that will count as 1 lap. Racers may start out mountain biking or trail running, but
all racers must alternate between the two disciplines during the race.

Awards Ceremonies: There will be an awards ceremony at 4:00PM for the 6-Hour Duathlon and 7:30PM for the 12-Hour
Duathlon at the Shelter in the Berryman Recreation Area. Food and refreshments will be provided. Racers eligible for prizes must be present
at the Awards Ceremony in order to receive them.
Cancellation:
No refunds will be given for the race!
Lodging: There is plenty of lodging and campgrounds in and around the Berryman Recreation Area. There are 8 campsites
available at the Berryman Recreation Area, and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no water available at the
Berryman Recreation Area, but vault toilets are avialable for campers. There are also other campsites and motels around the area that are a
very short drive from the Berryman Recreation Area, including:
Bass' River Resort (campgrounds and cabins) Huzzah Valley Resort (campgrounds and cabins) Super 8 Motel in Potosi .
* There are also other primitive campgrounds in the Mark Twain National Forest near the Berryman Recreation Area. If you are interested in
camping at one of these campgrounds, please visit the Mark Twain National
Forest website and make sure you follow all their rules and regulations.
Check in: Racer check-in will take place at the Shelter in the Berryman Recreation Area from 7-9PM on Friday,
August 22nd and again from 5:30AM - 6:30AM (for 12-Hour Duathlon participants) and 7:30AM - 8:30AM (for 6-Hour Duathlon participants) the day
of the race.
Support Crew: The Berryman 6/12 Hour Off-Road Duathlon will allow support personnel in the Transition Area only. You
are more than welcome to have spectators, friends, family and support crew in the Race Headquarters area, but they are not allowed to help you
while on the course.
Volunteers: Volunteering is an excellent way to get the feel and experience of a race if you are unsure if you would like to participate.
Also, races would not be possible without the help of volunteers! All volunteers in the Berryman 6/12 Hour Off-Road Duathlon will receive a 25% off
of any Bonk Hard Racing event certificate, free race shirts and food after the race!
We encourage family and friends of racers to come along and join in the fun as a volunteer. There will be a pre-race volunteer meeting at
Race Headquarters in the Berryman Rec. Area at 6:30 AM on Saturday, September 8th. If you would like to be a volunteer at this exciting and
