Location:  The Berryman 6/12 Hour Off-Road Duathlon will be Headquartered at the Shelter in the Berryman Recreation Area, near Potosi, MO, which serves as the start and finish location of the Berryman Trail. There is no water at the Berryman Recreation Area, so please plan accordingly! To view the U.S. Forest Service brochure on the Berryman Recreation Area, please click here.

Directions:  From Potosi, MO, take Hwy 8 west for 16 miles; turn north onto County Road 207 and go about 1.5 miles. The Berryman Recreation Area will be on your left. There will be a sign posted at the Hwy 8 and County Rd. 207 junction to use as a marker to the Recreation Area.

Dates and Times:  The Berryman 12-Hour Off-Road Duathlon will start at 7AM on Saturday, June 5th and the 6-Hour and Sport Off-Road Duathlons will start at 9AM. Racer check-in will take place at the Shelter in the Berryman Recreation Area from 5:30AM - 6:30AM (for 12-Hour Duathlon participants) and 7:30AM - 8:30AM (for 6-Hour Duathlon participants and Sport racers) the day of the race. The Sport Race will start at 9AM, the 6-Hour Duathlon will run from 9AM - 3PM and the 12-Hour Duathlon will run from 7AM - 7PM. All racers will try to complete as many running and biking laps as possible in this time frame.

The Course:  The two duathlon courses will share the same running and biking loops, and both will utilize the fantastic Berryman Trail, as well as some surrounding jeep and gravel roads. Racers can expect a 4.5 mile running course that will consist of about 2.5 miles of singletrack trail, about 1 mile of rugged jeep trails and 1 mile of gravel roads. The mountain biking leg will be about 12 miles in length and will consist of about 8 miles of singletrack on the Berryman Trail, 1 mile on jeep trails and about 3 miles on gravel roads. Each time a racer completes a running and biking loop, that will count as 1 lap. Racers may start out mountain biking or trail running, but all racers must alternate between the two disciplines during the race.
